The group's focus on business has been matched only by its commitment to education. Sona College of Technology, Sona School of Management, and Thiagarajar Polytechnic Institute have empowered thousands of students to become world-class professionals in the fields of engineering, healthcare, management, research, etc. At the same time it has been observed that, once out of the formal education system, a growing number of youths show up in the unemployment statistics. The employability of youth continues to be a major challenge as employers complain of job seekers lacking the skills, attitudes, and knowledge required in the world of work. Our interventions in this field seek to contribute towards improving access to quality training that has a long-term impact while being aligned to the manpower needs of the industrial clusters.
Sona Yukti is proud to be a partner of the Government of India’s Digital India Program, called PMGDISHA (Pradhan Mantri Gramin Digital Saksharta Abhiyan). By becoming a PMGDISHA franchise, Sona Yukti will make it possible for everyone in rural India to become skilled at using digital applications that impact various areas such as healthcare, education, retail, etc.
